This privacy policy applies to the Gelfy Beat Android application, distributed on
Google Play under the package name store.gelfy.beat and published by Gelfy Studio
(“we”, “us”). It explains what the app does and does not do with information, and it describes the
app’s behaviour as shipped in the Android App Bundle submitted to Google Play.
Gelfy Beat does not collect or share any user data. No personal information, device identifier, or usage data is gathered, transmitted, sold, rented or disclosed to any third party — because none is collected in the first place. Specifically, the app:
This table mirrors the Data safety form submitted in Google Play Console for this app:
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Does the app collect or share any of the required user data types? | No |
| Is all of the user data collected by the app encrypted in transit? | Not applicable — no data is collected or transmitted |
| Does the app provide a way for users to request that their data be deleted? | Not applicable — no data is collected; on-device data is removed by clearing app data or uninstalling |
| Data types collected | None |
| Data types shared with third parties | None |
| Data used for advertising or marketing | None — the app contains no ads |
| Data used for tracking across apps or websites | None |
So that the game can remember your progress, a small amount of information is written to the app’s own private storage on your device. It is never uploaded, never leaves the device, and is not accessible to us or to anyone else:
| What is stored | Purpose | Leaves the device? |
|---|---|---|
| The display name you type | To greet you and keep separate players’ progress apart on a shared device | No |
| Player profiles, scores and game progress | To keep your progress and rankings between sessions | No |
| Your music on/off preference | To remember your sound setting | No |
A display name is whatever you choose to type — it need not be your real name, and we never receive it. This is local app storage, equivalent to a saved game file, and is not “collection” under the Google Play User Data policy because nothing is transmitted off the device.
The Android package declares exactly one permission:
| Permission | Why it is present |
|---|---|
android.permission.INTERNET | A default of the application framework the game is built with. The game itself performs no network requests and is fully playable offline. No data is sent or received. |
The app requests no runtime permissions. It does not ask for, and cannot access, your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, files, SMS, call logs, nearby devices or physical activity.
The app makes no network connections. There is no game server, no online multiplayer, no leaderboard service, no cloud save, no ad network and no analytics endpoint. Gelfy Beat functions completely offline.
Gelfy Beat is free to play in full. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no paid unlocks and no payments of any kind, and the app integrates no billing library. No payment information is ever requested or processed. Coins and rewards earned in the game are part of play, hold no real-world value, and cannot be exchanged for money.
Gelfy Beat is suitable for all ages and is safe for children. Because the app collects no data from any user, it collects no data from children. There is no advertising, no third-party SDK, no tracking and no external content. On that basis the app complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Google Play Families policy and the EU GDPR-K provisions for children’s data. Parents can be confident that nothing typed into the app is transmitted anywhere.
We retain no data, because we receive none — there is no server, database or backup holding anything about you. The information stored on your own device is under your control at all times: clearing the app’s storage (Android Settings → Apps → Gelfy Beat → Storage → Clear data) or uninstalling the app permanently and immediately deletes all of it. Deleted progress cannot be recovered by us, as no copy exists.
The strongest protection is not collecting data in the first place. Since Gelfy Beat keeps everything within the app’s private, sandboxed storage on your device and transmits nothing, there is no server that can be breached and no transmission that could be intercepted.
Privacy laws including the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) grant you rights to access, correct, port or delete personal data a company holds about you, and to opt out of its sale. We hold no personal data about you and we sell no data, so there is nothing for us to disclose, transfer, correct or erase. You retain full control of the on-device data as described in section 8.
If a future version of the app changes what it does with information, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the “last updated” date above will change. The current policy always describes the version of the app live on Google Play.
